The body of the Ruffed Grouse features a unusual texture not found on other birds by Toikka. The coloring also contributes to its unique surface, a rich translucent golden brown body adorned with spots of pearl white and reflective blue.
This special limited-edition Oiva Toikka design is hand-numbered Toikka Nuutajarvi, xxx/750. Created for the Museum of Glass, each Ruffed Grouse is an individually made, mouth-blown piece of art handcrafted by the master glassblowers at iittala's famous glassworks in Nuutajarvi, Finland.
