Each bird is made individually by hand at Iittala’s sister factory in Nuutajãrvi, Finland. Birds have been a source of inspiration to Oiva Toikka for 30 years. Toikka’s is one of the greatest names in Finnish glass, and the glass birds are his best-known works. The series has been an international success, with works included in some of the world’s most important museums and collections.
