Pale Male
Glass Bird by Oiva Toikka

Description: Pale Male, a red-tailed hawk that has called New York City’s Central Park home for nearly two decades, is adored by many. Named for his unusually light coloring, Pale Male was the first hawk of his kind to take up residence in Central Park, setting up his nest on one of Fifth Avenue’s most exclusive apartment buildings.
This beautiful mouth-blown bird features an expansive ivory body intricately marbled with a stunning red tail and brilliant metallic beak. Oiva Toikka’s imagination and iittala’s skilled Finnish glassblowers have created magical glass birds for over 30 years. For every Pale Male purchased in 2007 iittala, Inc. will make a donation to the New York City Audubon Society.

Signed and numbered "O Toikka Nuutajärvi, Pale Male, xxx/1000"
Pale Male measures 8" tall and 14" long
