Finn Fest 2007 Glass Bird Summer Stint by Oiva Toikka
This tiny but powerful bird is representative of the small and lively nation of Finland. The ultramarine, hand blown bird features a soft blue body and stem fading to clear on the beak and tail. The Summer Stint has a limited production of only 750 birds in the United States with “O. Toikka Nuutajärvi FinnFest 2007-Finland 90 years” hand engraved on the bottom of each. Be sure you get yours before this bird is no longer available.
Oiva Toikka’s series of glass birds are his best-known works. Each glass bird is individually handmade at iittala’s sister factory in Nuutajãrvi, Finland.
