Finn Fest 2007 Glass Bird
Summer Stint by Oiva Toikka

Description: This tiny but powerful bird is representative of the small and lively nation of Finland. The ultramarine, hand blown bird features a soft blue body and stem fading to clear on the beak and tail. The Summer Stint has a limited production of only 750 birds in the United States with “O. Toikka Nuutajärvi FinnFest 2007-Finland 90 years” hand engraved on the bottom of each. Be sure you get yours before this bird is no longer available.
Oiva Toikka’s series of glass birds are his best-known works. Each glass bird is individually handmade at iittala’s sister factory in Nuutajãrvi, Finland. Oiva Toikka is one of the greatest names in Finnish glass. His imaginative, rich and bold glass art sets him apart from the streamlined aesthetic of Nordic design. Birds have been a source of inspiration to Oiva Toikka for 30 years.

Summer Stint measures 5.5" tall and 6" long.
