Clarinets are an original design of Renee Robicek, one of the greatest Czech designers. Novotny has produced clarinets for Robicek for over three decades, continuing to improve these fluid masterpieces over time.
Petr Novotny studied glass manufacturing and glass technology at Apprentice Glass Centre in Novy Bor and at the Secondary Industrial School in Novy Bor. In 1983 he was awarded a Master of Glass Fine Arts and Crafts. He has led workshops and lectures at Pilchuck Glass School and in numerous European countries. In 2003, Novotny decided to open Ajeto Glassworks, currently one of the top glass-craft schools and workshops in the Czech Republic.
