One of the 2009 iittala birds introduced by Oiva Toikka, the Brisk has a subtle dimpling to its surface from optical molding. This bird is small and lovely in a subtle opaque white; really quite an adorable little fellow.
Each glass bird is individually handmade at Iittala’s sister factory in Nuutajãrvi, Finland.
Toikka is one of the greatest names in Finnish glass. His imaginative, rich and bold glass art sets him apart from the streamlined aesthetic of Nordic design. Birds have been a source of inspiration to him for over 30 years and are his best-known work.
